Meet my friend Indra Bartona. As a producer, television host and model in Hollywood, Indra reached out to me to create something a bit different. Says Indra, " I always look for nice quality photos I can utilize for work purposes, sometimes to promote and market myself, and other times professional shots for my profile as a producer. I was interested and curious about artistic rendering as it is such a creative method to capture a photo and convert a classic moment."
In order to create a timely piece, Indra presented me with a few photographic images to work with, and I selected one I felt most suited the process. The original beautiful image was taken by Michelle DeLaVara, an amazing photographer based in uptown Whittier, California. (Check out her work here!) Working with other photographers is a privilege as you earn their trust in in carefully reproducing a hand rendered piece. After receiving her approval, I grabbed my stylus (think digital paintbrush) and started, carefully selecting the brushes, color and background elements to achieve the final result. The image was altered to truly create an oil painting feel, while honoring the photographer's initial image. Check out the before and after slider below!
Says Indra, "I was delighted with the beautiful end result. Irene is amazing!"
